Baton Rouge Police Officers 6 shot and 3 dead 

Breaking News Update: 

A shooting broke out with a solo gunman dressed in black and armed with a long rifle. 6 officers were shot and 3 are now dead. A manhunt for this murderer is underway. The rumor and thoughts are that this is another brutal attack on police due to the shootings of both Alton Sterling and Philando Castile. 

3 officers confirmed dead and 1 is critically injured. 2 more officers are non-critical after the shooting. 1 suspected shooter has been put down but law enforcement believe there may in fact be two more suspects out there based of investigations. 

The officers were all shot near the police department headquarters. The mayor pointed out that the investigation is in full mode. Two lanes to the local airport have been shut down. The scene is still active in the search.
